My Favorite Outfits for Almost Any Occasion

By Guest Blogger, Liz Reece

I love clothes and working at Whilden has me surrounded by unique pieces. But sometimes, you just want to have a few “go-to” outfits that take the time and planning out of your day. Here are a few of my favorite outfits (all pieces available at Whilden) that I hope you’ll take advantage of. At the end of the day, you should always love what you’re wearing because I believe it can change the way you feel all day long.

Casual in a Skirt

When jean shorts are just too casual, try this skirt from Mother Denim to dress it up a bit. I have long legs so I really like the longer length and asymmetrical details in this skirt. This classic white shirt from Marie Oliver (awesome bell sleeves!) is always in style. It should be a staple in your wardrobe to be dressed up or down – depending on your outfit. These Dolce Vita sandals in snakeskin provide a neutral shoe with an edge. It’s a truly versatile shoe, but the block heel makes it especially comfortable and great for daytime.

Spring Evening Out

It’s spring which means I’m ready to brighten up my wardrobe and wear lighter colors – even for an evening out. I love the metallic accents in this Rococo Sand top. It pairs nicely with Mignonne Gavigan’s “Madeline” earrings and the Mother Stunner Two Step glass slipper. This outfit is simple with just the right amount of panache. Now I’m ready for a fun date night.

Errands and Weekends in Comfort (and Style)

Everyone has to dash around after work or on the weekends to run errands. Why not look stylish while you’re doing it? I’m in love with these new headbands from L.Erickson, paired with the white “Fiona” hoop earring from Mignonne Gavigan. Most people know that n:philanthropy is one of my absolute favorite brands and this waffle hoodie is no exception. I pair it with the Mother Denim Dutchie short and P448 high tops to rock this comfy outfit.
