Hi there! I am Becca Ingle - Mom of two toddlers, Lainey (almost 5) and Roman (just turned 3).

We love traveling to new places with the kids and are a beach life-style family. Most of the pictures you will see of us are at the beach or on tropical vacations, ideally!  My husband owns a local Italian restaurant in Raleigh, called Babymoon Café, and travels with us as his schedule permits.  We just got a beach house in Ocean Isle, NC, so we might be slowing down on the travel front this summer for a few months.  I also work as a full-time technical recruiter in the NC area (I mostly work from home), which also allows a flexible schedule for travel.

1. HOW DID YOU GET STARTED WITH YOUR TRAVEL BLOG?

We always loved traveling before and after kids, and my friends would always ask me where we stayed, what we ate, pretty much our entire itinerary! So I thought it would be fun and beneficial for others if I just wrote it all down on a site. That’s when I created my blog - www.beccaingle.com - about two years ago!

2. SINCE STARTING YOUR BLOG, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION?

It is still Turks & Caicos and has been for more than six years. We went there on our honeymoon, and have taken the kids back almost every year. The water is so clear and the beaches are the nicest I have ever seen.

3. I KNOW YOU HAVE TWO SMALL KIDS. DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR FAMILIES TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN?

Plan ahead! I am such a planner and organizer with them because I try to stay two steps ahead of their emotions.  If you know your kids are cranky when they’re hungry, pack tons of snacks, toys, games and have something scheduled almost every hour for them.  I also recently starting partnering with a rental company called Kid & Coe, which I wish I had found years ago. They cater to families and offer family-friendly rentals, itineraries and usually have all the equipment you need on site (car seats, highchairs, strollers) - which is a HUGE lifesaver!

4. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR GO-TO OUTFITS FOR TRAVEL?

I love lounge wear when traveling on an airplane.  You can usually find me in a cute two-piece outfit or jumper that is cozy.  I always stick to basics when exploring, like jean shorts and a tee.  For nights out, I love a good flowy maxi dress or wide leg pants.

5. DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR PACKING FOR A LONG TRIP?

Packing Cubes! I have three different sets and I organize and squeeze everything into these. I usually color code for the kids and plan outfits for every day in advance so there is no stress day-of on what we are wearing. I also recently purchased a neck pillow and on-the-go chargers for our next long flight.

6. WHAT IS YOUR NEXT DESTINATION?

Greece, Italy and Paris - all in the next three weeks!

7. ANY LAST TIPS FOR TRAVELERS THIS MEMORIAL WEEKEND?

Leave early in the morning if you’re driving to the beach to beat the traffic!  Also pack all your red, white and blue outfits. 😊

8. TELL OUR READERS WHERE WE CAN FIND YOU?

You can find all my travel guides on www.beccaingle.com and you can watch live stories of my trips on Instagram: www.instagram.com/becca.
