Article: 5 Fall Wardrobe Essentials

5 Fall Wardrobe Essentials
Fall always feels like a reset. The air gets crisp, the light turns golden, and suddenly the closet that worked all summer isn’t quite right. I love this moment. It’s a chance to look at what you already own, figure out what’s missing, and add a few pieces you’ll reach for again and again.
You don’t need a new wardrobe. You need a handful of good pieces that work hard. Here are the five pieces we’re building our fall outfits around this year, all from our newest arrivals.

1. The Cozy Knit
If I could only buy one thing for fall, it would be a sweater I want to live in. I mean the one you pull on Saturday morning and don’t take off until bedtime. A good knit works with jeans, over a dress, or paired with a skirt for something a little dressier.
A few favorites right now:
- Nola Sweater by Sundays
- The Chalet Sweater by Favorite Daughter
- Ollie Chunky Crew by Color Rush
- Aja Ortho Sweater by Kerisma, in Ecru or Licorice Root
Wear it with: Your favorite jeans and sneakers for the weekend. Or pair the Aja Ortho with a skirt and boots when you want to look pulled together without trying hard.

2. The Layering Piece
Fall weather is unpredictable. It’s chilly at drop-off, warm by lunch, and cool again at dinner. A light jacket or vest is the answer. It makes a simple tee-and-denim outfit look finished, and you can take it off when the day warms up.
- Veda Jacket by Sundays
- Anela Jacket by Heartloom
- Sachi Vest by Kerisma
Wear it with: The vest adds a layer without bulk, and the jackets work over dresses or sweaters. If you prefer a cardigan, the Positano Cardi and Joya Cardi from Heartloom are easy to throw on.

3. Barrel Denim
Denim always comes back in the fall, and barrel jeans are the shape of the season. The curved leg feels relaxed and a little unexpected, and it looks great with everything from a fitted knit to a crisp shirt.
- Miro Barrel High Rise 28" by DL 1961
Wear it with: Something simple on top so the shape of the jean stands out.

4. The Fall Sneaker
Fall means more walking: errands, game days, weekend plans. The right sneaker keeps you comfortable and still feels stylish. Back 70 does rich autumn colors really well:
- Aya Sneaker: a Mary Jane style in coffee brown leather with a suede toe cap, an adjustable strap, and a gum sole
- Easter FL Sneaker: a slip-on mule in brown suede with cream shearling lining
-
Cloud W26 Sneaker: off-white leather with a burgundy side stripe and a gum sole
Wear it with: Brown and burgundy tones look great with denim, knits, and dresses.

5. A Cozy Scarf
A scarf is the easiest way to finish an outfit. It adds warmth and texture, and it can make a basic tee look intentional. Our Lummie Scarf by Heartloom comes in two neutral shades, Wheat and Mink, so it goes with almost everything in your closet.
Wear it with: A sweater, looped over a jacket, or with a plain tee and jeans on the first cold morning.
Putting It All Together
You don’t need a whole new closet. A cozy knit, a layering piece, barrel denim, a seasonal sneaker, and a scarf can be mixed into many outfits, and because each one works with the others, you can build a week of looks from just these five.
