9 Years, 9 Fun Facts

This Friday, September 19, we’re celebrating 9 years of Whilden! Over nearly a decade, we’ve grown, learned, and built strong relationships with our amazing customers and community.

To mark the occasion, we thought we’d do something special: share 9 fun facts about the person behind it all—Courtney!

1. Since she was little, Courtney has always wanted to be a fashion designer. She still has sketchbooks full of her clothing design ideas.
2. While her brother and sister were glued to cartoons and video games, Courtney spent her Saturday mornings watching VH1 fashion shows.
3. At 16, Courtney tore her ACL while playing volleyball.
4. One of her very first jobs was at GAP, where she loved working the register.
5. Courtney’s favorite food is French fries, and she firmly stands by the opinion that Chick-Fil-A has the best ones. 
6. Courtney is obsessed with the sneaker trend and hopes it never goes away. She has so many pairs and is always looking to add more. 
7. When she’s not working, Courtney loves listening to true crime podcasts.
8. Courtney has a cuddly King Charles named Milly, who is basically the unofficial Whilden mascot.
9. She prefers a great pair of jeans over dresses any day—they’re her go-to for comfort and style.
